The housing module project was presented by DemTech and the Mediterranean University “double safety” S2 Home

23 July 2019. They were presented at the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, the results of phase II of the research S2 Home, housing module “off-site” e “off-shore” designed by the research group led by prof Consuelo Nava for the company DemTech by Antonino De Masi.

The project “double safety home” pursues a double level of security, seismic and social / environmental, with a housing module that meets the requirements of energy autonomy and advanced prefabrication, characteristic of both emergency settlements and the quality of living.

The businessman Nino De Masi he underlined that he intends to exploit the results obtained by starting the prototyping phase at his workshops in Gioia Tauro, with the pride and determination to develop an entirely innovative product “Made in Calabria”, from conception, to development and prototyping.

The project saw the involvement of the Department of Art of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, of the DICAM Department of the University of Trento, of the start-up PMopenlab srls and of the Enea laboratories.

The Rector of the Mediterranean University took part in the meeting prof. Santo Marcello Zimbone, the director of the Art Department, prof. Adolfo Santini, the Vice Rector for Technology Transfer, Prof. Claudio De Capua, the prof.ssa Consuelo Nava and the young researchers of the innovative startup PMopenlab.
