Signed the Act of Accession and Obligation of the Innovation Pole for Sustainable Construction and first results of the activities implemented.

At the end of April, with the signing of the agreement with the Calabria Region (the so-called Act of Accession and Obligation), Green HoMe has formalized the launch of the Innovation Hub and collected the first results of the activities implemented in recent months.

The activities of training have been launched with some initiatives in the area of ​​Smart Buildings, with a course of “Introduction to the KNX standard” which aroused considerable interest and two courses on Architectural and Infrastructural BIM, aimed primarily at personnel of the Polo and its members. Given the success, in the coming months, the Polo expects to repeat these initiatives and expand the offer. We invite associated companies and researchers to signal their interest in these topics and to propose further topics, also to be implemented jointly.

Among the activities of extra-regional promotion, Green HoMe has promoted the participation of affiliated companies in the programme Calabria Valley towards Switzerland. Among the ten companies that the Italian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce will assist in organizing meetings with partners or potential customers in Switzerland, three are aggregated to the Pole (Alma srl, PMOpenLab srls, Personal Factory spa) while three other aggregate subjects will receive remote assistance (among these, the Building Future Lab of the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, Redel srl, Demtech srl). Similar contacts are underway with Canada and we are evaluating a collective participation in the fair Sai Bari 2019 (we invite interested companies to learn more here and to contact us).

On the development side of innovative planning, as well as working on the presentation of the H2020 proposal “MWood – Mediterranean Wood for Modular Constructions” con 11 partner too 6 European countries (MCSA-RISE action), the Pole intends to support the construction of R projects&S of real impact on the territory on the Notice for i Living Lab, currently in pre-information, facilitating the connection between research laboratories and companies aggregated with local authorities and local associations (please postpone to this note for more information).

Starting with these initiatives, in the coming weeks we will share the detailed work program of the project with researchers and associated companies 2019, including the completion of applications for membership of the Pole.

Since the end of April, the site of the Polo on the Unical Campus at the Department of Environmental and Territorial Engineering and Chemical Engineering, on the 2nd floor of the building of the former Educational Area, cube 8C (in front of the Aula Magna).
