Course Details

The course offers a broad-based framework on innovation in the field of design and management of
sewer systems and other works for conveying runoff water in urban areas.

The aim of the course is in fact to provide professionals and officials with an update on the most current
technical knowledge in this field and their methodologies of application in practice.
The course will be divided into three successive sessions, dedicated respectively to:
Session A – Products for low-impact management of urban runoff waters;
Session B – Design applications of simulation models for sewer systems;
Session C – Implementation of innovative interventions in the field of sewers and other works
public for urban drainage water management.
The various topics covered by the lessons of the course will be dealt with dedicating ample space to the description of
numerous examples of significant achievements, with reference not only to the hydraulic and hydrological aspects but also
deepening the territorial and urban-environmental effects.

The course will be held entirely in remote mode in the second half of September 2020, especially on Wednesday afternoons 16, Thursday 17, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24, and finally throughout the day on Wednesday 30.

 

Course recipients:

The course is aimed at civil engineers, environmental engineers, construction engineers-architects, architects and other related technicians,
who work in the field of the Integrated Water Service as officials of public or private entities or as freelancers
professionals or as entrepreneurs of companies in the sector.

 

Organizing Bodies

The course is organized by Green Home s.c.ar.l. in collaboration with FAST Ambiente Academy and Urban Hydraulic Studies Center (CSDU).

FAST (www.fast.mi.it), founded in 1987, is a non-profit association, oriented to the enhancement of research and innovation that, federating the most qualified and representative technical associations, it is a point of reference for beyond 38.000 operators. To date, FAST collects over 30 associations operating in the national territory and carries out about 700 events every year.

CSDU is a non-profit research association whose purpose is to coordinate and develop research on multiple aspects relating to integrated water systems and the protection of receiving bodies, with particular reference to urban drainage systems and their environmental impact.
